Hello future poet or poetess, writers in general:
This is a course where you’re going to learn secret questions of writing. It’s a literary workshop. But what does it mean that it is a workshop? It means that you’re going to have homework, workshops are characterized by homework.
To pass the course you will have to get involved, studying from the videos, but also creating your own works. Don’t think that just looking is enough. In this course I will give you the basic tools to start writing.
What is the course like? It’s very simple, it’s me talking and explaining the concepts, but at the same time writing in a Word in real time (live, they usually call it). Why do I choose this technique and not the typical power point one? Because the power points technique is passive, and what I want is for you to visualize what happens when you write.
Sometimes I make a mistake on purpose, other times because it comes out that way. This is always productive, because then you will understand how the mind of someone who writes works.
We’re going to look at poems, poems, poetry with meter, meter and rhyme, sonnet.
We will also see stories in many variants. Always in Spanish, obviously. Don’t think it’s just another course. This course includes secrets.
The requirements are minimal:
– A good (stable) internet connection.
– A text editor (for example, for counting words).
– A notebook and pencil or pen (for when you walk down the street, on the bus, bus they call it in many countries or by train, on your break from work).
Finally, I’m always asked: How do I know if I’m good at writing?
There is no such thing. It’s like going to the gym. You go a month, you’re going to feel better. You’re going for three months, you’re going to be a little bit marked. You’re going 3 years old and you’re going to be muscular.
Writing must become a habit.
It is also a form of catharsis, of cleansing the soul.
One can find in a story, some hidden fear, and solve it. Or to help someone who is suffering, transmitting hope.
